Melania Trump said on Friday that her daughter Ivanka has “stunted” her by having a baby after “nearly dying” at a Las Vegas hospital.
“I have never been in a situation like that.
She’s been very supportive of my decision to give birth, and I’m sure she’s very proud of what she’s done,” Trump told Fox News in an interview airing on Friday.
Trump was asked by Fox News host Greta Van Susteren about the birth of her daughter, whom she said she has never met, and said she was “stupefied” by the event.
“What is the story behind that?
Because she’s the daughter of my husband.
What is it about that?”
Van Suster asked.
“Well, I have been stunned by the news of what happened.
But I think she’s going to be a beautiful daughter.
And she’s a wonderful mother,” Trump replied.”
She has been extremely supportive of me and has been very understanding of my choices,” Trump said.
The president said that Ivanka has been “very understanding” of her choices.
“Her husband has been absolutely amazing to me.
He has always been very loving and supportive.
And I think that she has a lot of strength and a lot, a lot to offer in terms of her leadership in her husband’s administration,” Trump added.
The Trumps said they have not discussed the details of the birth, but that they are “very excited” to welcome the little girl to the White House.
“My husband has taken incredible care of me,” Ivanka said.
“I love him and I’ve never met him.
I’m so grateful for his love and support.
And he loves his wife and the country.”
Ivanka Trump was born to her husband Jared Kushner and his wife Ivanka in 2005.
Ivanka’s father, Donald Trump Jr., had been a political donor to Trump’s presidential campaign.
Ivanka Trump has been married to Jared Kushner since 2006.
Ivanka is the daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump, who is also her father-in‑law.
